Christmas Carols Old and New

Nine old favorites, plus a new Christmas song written and performed by David Edwards and Randy Stonehill, plus Miriam, by Pierce Pettis.

"With the way popular music has used and abused the Christmas season for its own commercial gain, it's almost enough to change even the sincerest Tiny Tim into a sneering Grinch. Against the backdrop of this checkered past, David Edwards' new Christmas album shines star-like in an otherwise darkened sky." - Tangzine

Your Comments

"Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy the Christmas CD. I buy a fair number of independent releases and many of them are lacking somewhat in either packaging, production or shipping. Your release is a "first class" project all the way! The artwork, detail and, most importantly, the music are all very enjoyable. It has certainly surpassed most of the independent releases I've received...and is one the more enjoyable Christmas CD's I've gotten in a few years. (The last really good one was "Noel" by members of the Choir and their friends.) I also appreciated the speedy shipping...the CD arrived just a few days after I ordered it. I get a new Christmas CD every year and yours has not yet left my CD player. The entire family loves it."  - Mark, Washington, IL

"It's a very, very, very good - traditional Christmas album - but your new songs make the album. THANK YOU for not singing the little drummer boy... I can think of 10 people right off that I will give it to." - Kae, South Pasadena, FL

"I thought Oh Holy Night was my favorite, and then I got to Ave Maria. Gorgeous. ...your voice... is magical. Really. You have one of my most favorite voices in the world. I am really impressed. Congratulations. It is a wonderful project. You can tell all your friends that one of your biggest fans is an atheist. I think you should actually include that in your liner notes. (ha ha)" - Susan, Essex, MA

"I got it yesterday and listened to it all day. I love it ! Took it home and plan on listening to it as we decorate the tree tonight ! :)" – Pam, Warsaw, IN

"It's beautiful! Your arrangement of "What Child is This" is now my favorite. And your version of "Miriam" is wonderful, too. This was the first time several of the lines really had registered with me, though I'd heard Pierce's version about the time that album came out. I was riding down the road crying. Very nice. The original tune is also excellent. I love the thought you put into the songs you write." -  Ed, Durham, NC

"...The Christmas CD is terrific - you sound wonderful and it's a really nice collection of carols; plus your song is superb - really, really lovely.  Wow." - Lynn, Altadena, CA

"You are such a wonderful son in every respect."   - David's mom
